Similarly sports fans might find a big DLP projection system to be perfect to their needs.

Connections

If you already have good quality audiovisual gear this may dictate what type of interfaces and ports you will need on your HDTV, and therefore the model you buy. Make sure you check all the connections available such as HDMI ports, S video, SCART connections, digital audio, VGA and DVI inputs.

Extra Features

It can be easy to be swayed by gimmicky features. You must remember though, that in many implementations you may not be able to use all of them. For instance if all your signals coming over one connection you may not be able to use picture in picture functionality.
